ROOTS is a deeply personal exploration of heritage, memory, and the enduring bond between mother and daughter. Through a blend of Polaroid, mixed-media, and iPhone photography, I delve into my Eastern European and Jewish roots, capturing the fragments of a legacy shaped by history, identity, and loss. This series is a tribute to my late mother and a journey through the layers of our shared past. The work is steeped in nostalgia—polaroids, with their spontaneous imperfection, evoke the intimacy of moments that might otherwise be forgotten. The mixed media elements allow me to weave together fragments of the past and present, blending the tangible and the digital, history and modernity.
