Ballerinas

A modernization of Degas’s “Dancers,” “Ballerinas” is shot on Polaroid film to add a painterly quality to the images.“Ballerinas” was inspired by my own experiences with dance, specifically the rigid and disciplined practices of ballet. “Ballerinas” is a collection of images focussing on the pain and pleasure endured and sought out by internationally renowned ballerinas.
