Born in the Ukraine, Yana Toyber has lived in NY since the age of two. Capturing real images and seeing the beauty in life has always appealed to her. Her influences are documentary based photographers such as Dian Arbus and Larry Clark. Graduating from the school of visual arts, Yana has been in the trenches of the Manhattan art and nightlife scene. From the pages of THE FADER magazine to international galleries, Yanas work has documented urban and couture fashion and culture. Her work has appeared in museums and galleries such as the International center of photography, Kodak Eastman house and the Soho photo gallery as well as in Black Book, Big magazine, Nylon, Trace and A4.
